I think this poem disscusses the superficial opinions that men have for women...maybe the poet who wrote this never had a true relationship with a man

This is one of the most intuitive comments on man's endless search for perfection. No one can love Anne without also loving her beauty becuase her beauty is integral to who she is. It is the perfect rebuttal to people who tell you, simplistically, that you shouldn't date someone because of their looks. Yeats knows that a person's looks are a part of who they are.

i am a literature student and now i am studying the poetry.I have an assignment about the eagle by lord alfred tennyson,death stands above me by walter savage landor , and for anna gregory by william butler yeats.
i need every thing about them like paradox,figurative language, symbols,alliteration,assonance and others..
