Analysis and comments on A Broken Appointment by Thomas Hardy

Comment 2 of 2, added on May 4th, 2006 at 10:06 PM.

in 20th century, there was a time of industrialization era. in Hardy's opinion, there were a bad result from this development. it destroy the the nature and give air pollution. It give sick and unstable life to the people. "A Broken Appointment" may enable to interprate in 3 ways. 1st, woman broke an appointment to meet him.it show she doesn't care and love him. or he is not the one she love.2nd, god doesn't love him so he doesn't reply his pray.he hopes to get a little light from him. 3rd, it is the end of century. god doesn't care of the world of 20th century. Government and church were corrupted and the rich oppress the poor. god does not give a single hope to the people for the betterment of the society.
thank so much.....(I feel better now)
Pray for me to pass my Exam
