The poem "sucide in the trenches" has great mean to me and it shows the way that humans can celerbrate the hero's, but forgot the dead hero's. Or the one's that take there life, because the pain of war is to much to bear. This poems rhymth certainly helps with its meaning. In my opinion this poem is the best poem by Sassoon.

in response to comment 5:
Sassoon wrote during/about World War I. "the pain and suffering that the jews had to go through" was World War II. get your facts right first, huh?

Thats where i know this poem from too! I love the libertines, and this poem, really portrays the reality of war. Just like Wilfred Owens Dulce et Decorum Est, thats a really good poem too, definately check that out aswell.
