Analysis and comments on An Old French Poet by Siegfried Sassoon

Comment 1 of 1, added on June 18th, 2005 at 7:29 PM.

This poem must surely be a good one, but sometimes even good poems are hard to understand. I find this one hard to interpret, although I have learned not to criticize nor condemn another poet's poem; for I have learned that it is usually I who lacks something in my ability to interpret and understand another poet's poem. Nevertheless, I shall continue to study this one until I get the message. A poem often says different things to different people.

Sincerely,
