the poem is reaally heart warming and makes you build up these images that make you feel how the poet must of felt when they were writing it,if you really understand the meanig of it,it is really interesting to read.

‘Follower’ by Seamus Heaney is a poem about the poet’s love and admiration for his father. It is also about the changes that occur between father and children as children move out from their parent’s shadow.

a poem which deals with chilhood memories is "follower" by seamus heaney. he uses such poetic techniques such as fiurative launguage, imagery and word choice to make the poem more vivid!
