Laurie, Bach for the clavier, the translation to modern piano presents little challenge to the music; as such, the spirit behind Rilke's words somehow travels through whatever conduit/language it passes.

no matter how many love poems i've read or written,
this one always draws me back as the most beautiful
and most pure...
i've always wondered how the essence of a magnificent piece, such as this, does not get lost through translation....
