Analysis and comments on Ode To The Artichoke by Pablo Neruda

I've only recently read beyond what's in "Canto General". I like the Odes, a lot! This Ode is amazing. Funny & touching. I've read it out loud about ten times, & each time my mental picture of that sweet brave vegetable becomes clearer.

this poem is much simpler than people realize. neruda was sick of everyone writing odes to the same old things so he wrote... an ode to an artichoke.

I think this poem you took a very random thing(the artichoke) and made people that read this poem think about how much we should be thanksful. I think some of your other oems are better but this poem was hhrad to write and it was very good! well done!
