This is telling us that we should not strive to be like others but strive to perfect their mistakes

"Don't imitate me" is reflected in his advice (see in the biography above).... "Do not follow in the footsteps of the masters but seek what they sought." In doing this one will bring forth a different and therefore a more interesting fruit
