Analysis and comments on To The Nile by John Keats

Comment 2 of 2, added on March 5th, 2009 at 7:02 PM.

This poem was written late at night on February 4, 1818 in a poetry writing contest between Keats and Shelley. Leigh Hunt gave the two poets fifteen minutes to produce a sonnet on the subject of the Nile. This is Keats' sonnet from that night.
