Analysis and comments on To Hope by John Keats

Comment 2 of 2, added on February 15th, 2006 at 2:22 PM.

i often wonder, when reading this poem, if Keats always felt hope in times of despair....how difficult was the battle between hope and despair for him?....if only despair existed, we would never experience hope and vice versa....same as everything in life i.e. love and hate, evil and good, etc...for me, personally, i find the poem a bit too pollyanish....
