Johann Wolfgang von Goethe - THE SAME.

[Written at night on the Kickelhahn, a hill
in the forest of Ilmenau, on the walls of a little hermitage where
Goethe composed the last act of his Iphigenia.]

HUSH'D on the hill

Is the breeze;

Scarce by the zephyr

The trees

Softly are press'd;
The woodbird's asleep on the bough.
Wait, then, and thou

Soon wilt find rest.

1783.

Gosh! Goethe here on this site, that's great, thank you!
It's so strange to read this poem in a different language. Here it is in German, for those who are interested in it:

Wandrers Nachtlied (Ein Gleiches)

Über allen Gipfeln
Ist Ruh,
In allen Wipfeln
Spürest du
Kaum einen Hauch;
Die Vögelein schweigen im Walde.
Warte nur, balde
Ruhest du auch.
