Analysis and comments on Lines to a Don by Hilaire Belloc

Wow...not a nice person when crossed! Image Belloc as a modern day movie critic? ha. This poem makes me curious about the history behind the poem. At one point it is a specific attack about the Don; then becomes an attack on those that are like the Don (the powers/rulers...).
I'm sure the person written about also received Belloc "Christmas Lines".
