Why are there no comments on this poem? It is so relevant today as mothers pressured by unrealistic ambitions hand over the care of their children to corporate moguls. Maternal instincts are supressed to have 'things', fecundity is frustrated to meet an arbitrary 'pigeon pair' not even enough to replace themselves.
