The sonnet, "Silent Noon" is sonnet 19 in the very lengthy sonnet cycle, "The House of Life", written by DANTE GABRIEL ROSSETTI, brother of Christina. Check the Norton Anthology of Poetry if you doubt my word.

I must object to your posting! It is most certainly false information. Somene was sloppy on their research! Naughty. Naughty. The true author of this poem is Dante Gabriel Rossetti, her brother. Some family feud this would make!

Christina Rossetti did not write that poem, it was by her brother Dante Gabriel!

Silent Noon was NOT written by Christina Rossetti. It was written by her brother, Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Someone needs to check that his or her information is correct before posting it on a poetry website.

This poem is actually by Dante Gabriel Rossetto, and he was male!!! Chritina Rossetti is amazing, but she did NOT write this. Please someone amend this! Rebecca.
