A.S.J. Tessimond - Tube Station

The tube lift mounts,
                                sap in a stem,
And blossoms its load,
                                   a black, untidy rose.

The fountain of the escalator
                              curls at the crest,
                                                   breaks and scatters
A winnow of men,
                           a sickle of dark spray.
