They are well balanced and seem to hold their edge well. The steak knife block fits in well with the rest of the set's block, but is also removable, which is a nice feature. They are very sharp and are full-tang (which means that the blade runs all the way through the handle and gives better balance and cutting power). Also, the photo shown here is incorrect. Read More Rating: - Really nice knives for price Got these as a gold box deal, and for $70 these are the best set of knives I have owned. All of them are extremely sharp, my old set, which was way more expensive, doesn't hold a candle to this. Block is a tad bit rough, cut-outs for knives not perfect, but overall a very good deal.
