Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Gourmet Standard's 4 Quart Tri-Ply Chef's Pan with Lid uses one of the world's most popular and functional cookware concepts, layered metals. The brilliantly polished stainless steel interior and exterior conceal a solid aluminum core extending from the bottom to the top of the drip free pouring edge. The ergonomically designed, heat-dispersing handles of cast stainless steel, along with precision-fitting lids, enables comfortable and efficient use. Gourmet Standard's Tri-Ply is oven safe up to 500 Degrees, and has the trend setting design that is diverse enough to go from stove top or oven to the dining room table.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Excellent all-purpose pan
I bought this in place of the Gourmet Standard saute pan, which was given such high marks in Cooks Illustrated last year, but which is apparently no longer available. What I wanted was a sizeable cooking vessel that I could easily use on the stove top and in the oven. This certainly fills the bill. It is good-looking, heats evenly, has a helper handle, and has a much greater capacity than a saute pan, although it could be used as one. Plus, its price is much lower than a comparable All Clad. ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Very Good
A very nice pan, definitely worth the money.
I read a review about things sticking and I wonder if that person knows how to cook properly (or could it be quality control?). I think it's almost non-stick and very easy to clean, especially if you deglaze. Exactly what I expected from an expensive stainless pan.
I expect it to last for decades.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - I bought this for my girlfriend
Great skillet for the money. I wanted a stainless skillet that you could grab a hold of the handle bare hands. So far I can grab the handle while using it on the stove, It sticks a little more than I thought, but so far it has been a good value. I dont think anyone who likes cooking with stainless will be disapointed.
