Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Sound
The audiophiles say that this is a good choice for an "entry level" home theater system. It's my first home theater and I can't imagine it sounding much better. Music, whether FM, CD or from a movie, sounds great. The surround sound with the ground shaking subwoofer is awesome while watching movies. Easy set-up, I paired with a Samsung PN50A650 plasma and Panasonic Blu Ray. A/V receiver works great as a "switcher" since I utilized the many HDMI inputs in the back to plug in the various components. ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Speakers not so good
The reviews above are accurate as it relates to the reciever. I was very happy with it and the fact that is has 1080p, lots of inputs/outputs and syncs with my Sony Bravia television. The speakers and sub are not so good and I would rate them poor. I know you are getting a lot in one box for the price but if I was going to do it again I would buy pieces vs. the big box. I have a set of Polk speakers and sub upstairs and they sound much better. I moved them downstairs and don't use the Sony speakers.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Very happy with the Sony system
I've had the Sony 7200 for 3 months and have nothing but quality clear sound. All the components are connected via HDMI except one. Components are Samsung LCD TV, Sony PS3, included up-convert 1080P DVD player, HD DirectTV, and the 8 year old VCR.

The included DVD player nearly matches the Blu-ray in picture and sound quality. They are controlled by a sweet Logitech universal remote. I like the TV and movie sound more than the entry/mid priced 7 year old Onkyo system it replaces. Sony 7200 ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Solid entry level receiver with great features.
As my first big box Home Theater system, I don't have anything to compare it to, but I feel the price was worth it.

The system looks great. The speakers are a decent size, and when set up, can look very attractive in a modern themed room. The receiver itself is very slick with with a nice design.

The receiver has plenty of hookups that will be suitable for most people. With 3 HDMI inputs, you should be able to hook up all your Hi-Definition components. One great feature is the ... Read More
