Large Paper Supply and Automatic Document Feeder

I have my L7590 set up in my office, and it's working fine over the network with a variety of operating systems. It took a little bit of effort to set up on the laptops running Windows Vista. On the Macs I installed the stuff from the CD, and then just used one of the pre-installed HP OfficeJet drivers instead of the one that came with the printer. The Linux computer took about 30 seconds to set up. The print quality is good, and this printer's a lot faster than the last one we had.
Rating:  - Avoid this Product at All Costs
After spending over 6 hours trying to get the software working on two different computers without any luck, I am returning my day older printer and avoiding buying any HP printer in the future. This is the second time I've tried to buy an HP all-in-one networked printer, and both times the included software (and updated version on HP's website) has failed to correctly install. Lesson learned: HP may make good printers, but they cannot produce software.

Having used HP printers for many years, and most recently relied on a 7310 All-in-One unit for quite some time, I have high expectations for HP printers.... Thus far, I'm pleased with the 7590..its mechanical feed mechanism is solid, and consistently does what it is supposed to do...and nothing more. The print times are a noticeable improvement over prior models, and the color performance on photo quality items is quite good... Rating: - Good Printer, Save $100 and buy at Costco
I saw this printer at Staples for $299 and then again at Costco 2 days later for $189. The initial setup takes forever around 30 minutes. **Warning** if you have the new Internet Explorer 8 beta version you will not be able to install the HP software. Once I uninstalled IE8, I had no problems other than taking 30 minutes. This printer has 6 cartridges. Yes, you read that right 6! There are two inside, one color and one black. After my recent experience with the HP 7590 All-in-One printer, I am not only replacing it with a different printer, but with a different brand. The short version of my printer woes is that I purchased the printer in August - and three months and three replacements later, I'm packing it up and returning it to Staples (who, unlike HP customer service, will just let me return it and replace it with a new printer).
