I purchased this immediately because the original AC adaptor that came with my HP Pavilion dv2000 crapped out after over 2 years of use from my laptop-reliant student life. This replacement worked for less than two months before signs showed that the cable was poorly made and the connection fails within the wire. I don't know what's in there, but it's not connecting, and thus not charging my computer's battery. If I mess with the wire by straightening it or untangling, it will eventually work, ...
