I thought I had to set things straight. I've owned many other brand receivers and both Yamahas I've owned are great. The sound quality is excellent and the only problem I might see with someone not liking the manual is that Yamaha has so many features and options it might scare away the type of person that likes to use it out of the box without barely any ... Read More Rating: - This is a great product! Pls. see my review of RX-V463... Yamaha HTR-6140 5.1 receiver is exactly the same as Yamaha RX-V463 5.1 receiver. There is absolutely no difference. I have owned both of them and are awesome. Not sure why Yamaha would do someting like releasing the same product under 2 different model names unless it's something to do with marketing the product to cover most customers like Chrysler, Dodge and Voyager did once with their minivans. Operation of the remote is awkward, not intuitive. The only thing worse than the opeartion of the remote is the manual. It is absolutely awful.
