I found this printer some what confusing to install, mostly due to how the instructions are written. While I am not a tech expert I am also not a tech idiot.I found installation went faster and easier by doing it "my way". I still have not figured out how to turn off the fax receive mode even after reading the manual several times, I have to turn the machine off so as not to receive faxes. This is VERY different from a regular Printer only. The only problems I have encountered so far are how few sheets of paper you can load, so it seems I'm always putting paper in. More importantly, it's very hard to set up a page to print so that what you're printing is not so tiny you can't read it. My regular printer just printed normal size without having to set anything. Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Worst Design Ever for Replacing Cartridges
This printer is the worst ever for replacing ink cartridges. The cartridges USUALLY do not engage properly, and then you have to try over and over and over again before the printer takes hold of them. Unless you want to waste a lot of time replacing ink cartridges, don't buy this printer. Canon should be ashamed.

This is a great printer for the money. Set up and installation instructions were easy to understand. The print quality is clear and the fax and scan functions are easy to use. Very happy with this purchase.

Brought the MX310 to print webpages and personal documents. The document feeder & fax have been a pleasant bonus. I read some good reviews about Cannon printers before I brought. My results do show better & faster printouts than other printers I've owned.
