I originally didn't think it worth while to purchase a headset for my skype calls as I just used my Laptops speakers & mic but since the quality was less clear to the recipients due to background noise I ended up buying this one.
It's an overall good product, the build and sound quality is good, it fits comfortably and is easy to install.

Rating: - Plantronics mx500i pretty good headset
I wear a headset all day some days so I need something comfortable. The mx500i fits that bill. Since I have a hearing loss in some frequencies audio quality is important to me. This doesn't have a lot of booming bass that makes me unable to understand people. So that's good. I do find that the noise and echo cancellation are a little worse than I would hope. This headset is so darn comfortable you can literally wear it all day long and not even know you have it on.... This is an amazing product and I would recommend it to anyone that uses a non-bluetooth ready phone. This is made for all day phone conversations. Not bad, not bad....
As with everything strange that doesn't belong in your body. Long or extended use at first can start to have an uncomfortable feel. Once I keep using it I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Rating: - Better than expected
This headset worked even better than I expected. It's comfortable and doesn't interfere with glasses or hair-dos. The sound is clear and I'm told by those on the other end of our VoIP calls, that they can hear me clearly, as well. The only complaint I have is that it's not wireless, but then I knew that when I bought it. Works well with Skype and also for listening to news reports, etc. via the computer without annoying everyone around you.
