Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Handle melted off
After several months of occasional use, the handle on this product's lid completely melted off where it attached to the glass! Obviously I wasn't able to use it after that. I certainly won't be buying this inferior product again.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Just quit working
My Rival Smart-Pot quit working after only owning it for less than two years. It was used less than 10 times in that 18 months. One day I put chili in it to cook all day, and I came home 8 hours later to find the chili still room temperature. Product warranty only lasts for one year, and now I'm shopping for a new crockpot (not from Rival!).

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Watch your cook time...
Pros: nice look to it, easy to clean, low, high, and keep warm settings are nice to have, as well as being able to set the cook time by the half hour.

Cons: High is usually way too much. It took me a while to figure out the best way to use this crock. I end up having to cut the "high" cook time recommended by slow cook recipes to 1/2 time high, and the rest on low. That works about 80% of the time, depending in the recipe.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - As others have said, the temperature is WAY too high.
I bought this crock pot 2 weeks ago & have been very unhappy w/ everything that I've made in it. Well, except for the one meal that I prepped while working from home one day. I threw everything in at 2:30p.m on LOW & at 5:30, the food was still reasonably moist & tender. BUT, for those of us who are away from home for 8+ hours/day, this is NOT the crock pot for you. Your food will be dry as a bone & what former liquids were once in the crock will now be burnt crustations clinging ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - "Not so smart" SmartPot
I agree with other reviewers. I've used mine twice and both recipes called for the low setting. Within a few hours the stuff was boiling. I used it the second time while away and it burned. Not the best slow cooker out there. I picked the one I wanted online with reviews and when I got to the store they didn't have that one and only had two others to choose from so I got this one. Bad choice.
