How NeatReciepts Works
NeatScan Technology Using advanced Optical Character Recognition, NeatScan technology (patent pending) extracts key information from your receipts, such as date, amount, payment method, expense category and vendor. If you scan in business cards, NeatScan automatically pulls out information like name, company, address, phone numbers, email address etc.
NeatScan actually learns to associate an expense category (such as meals or lodging) to a particular vendor (brands such as Starbucks or Hilton) so you don't have to type in the information each time. This ensures that your financial records are filed consistently and with minimal effort.

I never received the item i took me 30 days to get my money back from amazon. WILL NOT BUY AGAIN FROM AMAZON. PLUS I WAS DIRECT THERE BY NEAT RECEIPTS. THERE CROOKS THERE SCAMMING TOGETHER I THINK.

Can't complain about the product because the limitations I've found seem to be general to the product variety and suffered by all. The feed mechanism doesn't always feed the sheet in straight and there are several scans that have black at the top right and bottom left, but the software attempts to correct for this as much as possible in the rendering phase. I would very much recommend upgrading to the new version 4 of the software as the database engine is much more stable and manages several scans ... Read More
Rating:  - Super product! Easy to install and very easy to use!
I have had this product for over a year. I followed the software installation instructions and it was extremely easy to install. It is great for scanning business cards (some special formats require manual changes - which is very easy to do). I have used it extensively for scanning personal purchase receipts, warranties and even user manuals - comes in very handy for warranty issues!

I have used NeatReceipts from the beginning and have continually upgraded the program and scanners as they have been released. This program has saved hours of filing, searching and recording misc receipts. I have used this program for full size invoices to Home Depot receipts. This has to be the best way to consolidate receipts and documents! Best way to secure receipts that are thermally printed, since many of these receipts only last less then a few months. These receipts if exposed to humidity and/or sunlight can and will disintegrate faster.
