It is narrower on the bottom than on the top, which allows me to use it on a smaller burner. The quantity the steamer basket holds (as well as the pan itself), is much greater than I anticipated. Excellent quality, good price. Rating: - Great steamer Pots with steamer inserts are not that common anymore. I like that this pot has a wider, shallower configuration than my previous steamer so the veggies cook more evenly. The glass lid means I don't have to keep taking the lid off, losing all the steam, to see when the food is done. see more
