This pan is very lightweight and works well on an induction burner for things like boiling pasta or perhaps veggies or simmering light liquids. Its bowled sides and raised logo in the bottom wouldn't work well for things that need to be scooped away from the sides or bottom of the pan with a spatula, as you might with sauces, thick concoctions or when sautéing veggies to start a soup. I'm new to Induction cooking, and was skeptical when I received this because a magnet did not stick to the bottom, which I'd heard was essential. I tried it, it did connect, it is truly Induction Ready, and it works like a charm! I got it mainly for pasta. The water heats in no time, the pasta is cooked to a perfect al dente in just a few minutes. It's light weight, easy to clean -- I love this little pot. It makes Induction cooking make sense.
