They started with a simple quartz movement for the left side for standard hour and minute time keeping. Then they tackled the real challenge. An automatic movement so complex they almost couldn't fit it in. The automatic movement keeps track of time like no other watch on earth. The second, minute and hour hands pass by a windshield style opening. But because the opening is only a quarter of the size of a normal watch dial, the movement had to be designed to rotate nine hands simultaneously. Different length hands cross over a chart of numbers for the precise time. Calendar dial displays the day of the month. Skeleton see through case back allows you to peer into the complex gears of the automatic movement. And of course, because automatic movement is powered by the kinetic movement of your body, it never needs batteries and never needs winding.
