Rating:  - hope 2nd time better than the 1st
I was totally happy with the sound and look of this home theater system until the sufwoofer quit 2 weeks after I hooked it up. The vender was real cooperative about replacing it, but had to return the whole system, not just the subwoofer. Also make sure to keep the original packageing because that is the only way they would accept the return. I powered the speakers with Onkyo TX-SR606 Home Theater receiver. Rating:  - Very good for small-middle rooms
If your room is designed for Hi-End sound (sound absorbers, special geometry etc) you probably will be disappointed. Otherwise you will find this item very good.

The sound experience is incredible. The subwoofer is incredibly powerful. Friend, Dolby 6.1 Lord of the Rings- ROTK makes this system sing. You really get great speakers for the money.
They look nice too- the speakers don't have the "boxy" look of many other systems- rather, they are very sharp looking with mostly polished metal casing. (some plastic too) They are quite stylish and not bulky.
Rating:  - Good low-end
Well built hardware. I was surprised with the bass output from the front surround speakers. I thought that my bass would eminate solely from the subwoofer, but that is not the case. I would note that the efficiency of these speakers leaves a little to be desired. I'm powering them with a Yamaha RX-V663 (95W x 7) and I find that some input sources require my Yamaha to really push itself to obtain a desired sound level.
Good buy overall.
Rating: - Mega-awesome Receiver/Amplifier
Great speakers for the price. True, these speakers aren't going to shake-up your intestines nor break your window glass, but they do provide a sweet sound for an excellect price/performance ratio. The separate speaker stand seemed a bit pricey but, like other Onkyo gear, it's all well built and integrates very well like "hand in glove." For my taste, I've cranked up the sub-woofer a bit and love it - IMHO, definitely the best part of the package.
