Looking for a sleek and modern wireless speaker system? This 900 MHz wireless speaker system is contemporary and stylish. You can choose between three transmission channels (913.5MHz, 914.0 MHz and 914.5 MHz) to allow for the best possible sound. The automatic tuning will help you maximize the best possible connection. The one box stereo sound is powered by a woofer/tweeter combination which delivers four watts of top-notch sound quality. Adding to this speaker system are the built-in Mega Bass feature and Sigma type magnetic circuitry. You can separate the transmitter and receiver up to 150 feet apart and still expect proper transmission.
Sony has provided both an AC adaptor and a Ni-CD battery to keep the wireless speaker system up and running. While the AC adaptor will provide endless power, the rechargeable battery will provide up to 3.5 hours of playtime. To recharge the battery, simply plug in the AC adaptor and charging will commence; you can expect recharging to take approximately twenty hours.
The speaker receiver is also compatible with the transmitters MDR-RF915RK and MDR-RF945RK.

WE love the Sony Wireless Speaker... it is portable and the sound is excellent. One problem... the on/off button is prone to failure and they don't want to repair it they want to sell you a refurbished unit for $94.

The best thing about this is that I can walk around in the house with the speaker on battery in the morning while I'm getting ready for work and listen to my favorite news podcast.
The reception isn't perfect, especially if my body gets in the way of the signal and if I'm behind some closed doors.
My wife is generally not that impressed with it and if it was up to her, we'd be returning it. Most places in the kitchen cannot pickup the signal or its horribly spotty. ... Read More
Rating: - Adding Additional Speakers
If you want to buy additional speakers to go with the single speaker included here, order item SRS-RF90R (the SPEAKER ONLY). In our house, we use one transmitter with five speakers, each in different rooms. Transmitter in the basement works fine with the speakers all the way up in third-floor bedrooms.

Great product all-around but be sure to kill any radio interference or else you will have a hell of a time getting quality sound out of these babies. When you do find a good spot, my recommendation is to place them high up on a shelf or something like that, they work fantastic. Remember to check what radio interference is around the 900 MHz range (e.g. cell phone?) in your area and whether or not the room you want to send the signal has any large or metal obstacles in the way which can also degrade the ... If you enjoy music or the look of a wireless surround sound system, then the Sony SRS-RF90RK is the product to purchase. We have two units and the sound quality is great. Whenever we have a party or just enjoy a night out on our deck, we always take our Sony wireless with us to listen to music cleanly and crisply. The battery life is about 4 hours, so having two units is great, we just change one unit in and out if the battery ever dies.
