This program has never let me down. The tech support is great. They are available with a phone call. The program makes great DVD's. There are occasional updates. I have now upgraded to Pro show Producer in order to do a little extra. The music is easy to add on ProShow Gold. I am not a computer wizard, and I have taught myself but there are teaching videos on youtube and also on Photodex's website.

If I'm reading Amazon's ad correctly, they aren't yet offering version 3.2. If that's true, I can understand the many negative reviews for this program, as I understand that earlier versions apparently had numerous bugs.
For what it's worth, I've used the new 3.2 without a hitch so far, but I will say two things to qualify that. I've only made one program, of about four minutes' length, and there is one hiccup I've noticed when building a show.

Rating:  - ProShow Gold been using 3 yrs... a bit of a disappointment
I'm a professional photographer and bought this program that was endorsed by other outstanding photographers.
I've been using this software for 3 yrs now. I have truly loved it for it's ease of use. Drag and drop system. It's gotten better over the years as its gotten auto rotate on pictures and better music manipulation. This program is great for small productions. 20 to 50 pictures. Rating: - Awesome program that totally smokes
WOW. 'bout time. After using ProShow Gold 3.0 for the past month, all I can say is yeowzaaa. This thing rocks. Jeepers it's fast and very very feature rich. Only thing is I wish it had a better photo editor, but getting FIVE STARS anyway. I feel sorry for those that buy this program, then attempt to run it on a feeble PC and expect not to have issues. Good grief, try this program on a pc that it is meant for, then come back here and post up.

Rating:  - Good features lousy engineering
This program has good ideology, but is poorly written. The biggest problem is its memory management. If you are working with more than 3-4 hundred slides (they claim to be able to handle UNLIMITED number of slides) it can at anytime drop into a bizarre processing loop that appear to never end. And I mean - NEVER (hours). During that time you cannot do anything with it.
At the same time there may be plenty of resources like free memory (in my case I have 1 Gig of memory half of which was free) and CPU ... Read More
