The Simply Calphalon Stainless line of cookware is an excellent alternative for those who prefer cooking in stainless steel and who desire Calphalon quality at a more budget price. This 10-piece set has all the basics to get your home kitchen up and running. The cookware includes 1-quart and 2-quart covered saucepans; a 3-quart covered sauté pan; a 6-quart covered stockpot; and 8-inch and 10-inch omelet pans.
Made of attractive 18/10 brushed stainless steel, these pans have an aluminum core through their bottoms for even heat distribution. The stainless-steel loop handles are comfortable to grip, plus they minimize heat transfer so handles stay cool on the stovetop. Handles are held in place by sturdy stainless-steel rivets. The covers are made of tempered glass so you can monitor your food while it cooks and have a dome shape, which allows food to retain its moisture while cooking. I bought the Calphalon simply stainless cookware 12 piece set (not offered any more?) and a couple extra open stock pieces over two years ago. It arrived within days with no shipping charge. This is the greatest cookware set I've ever owned. Sticking food is NOT a problem, and the cookware maintains a lovely appearance with really no special care. I saved for four months to purchase this set and was not disappointed in its performance. My only wish is that the 12-piece set which included the 4 quart sauce pan was still offered.

I've been very happy with this set, especially with it being dishwasher safe! The only thing I didn't realize was that I previously had a 2 qt and 4 qt sauce pan, whereas the two smaller ones with this are 1 and 2 qts. The glass lids are great for watching food cook and seem pretty sturdy. I'd consider myself a very amateur cook, so its hard for me to comment on cooking time/heat transfer, etc, but overall I would definitely recommend this set to someone looking for a good quality set that isn't ... I am very pleased with the quality of the Calphalon cookware I ordered. It arrived quickly and in good condition. These products have been used every day since arrival. They heat quickly and evenly, and are easy to clean. They are, however, heavy. Good in terms of quality, but somewhat difficult to use the larger pieces for an old lady. Overall, I would purchase this same set after using it. I am very satisfied!
