Rating:  - Looks pretty, blends not
While this blender may look pretty on your counter-top, that's about all it's good for. Nice retro styling from Oster but the product is useless, just like their toaster-oven. I have owned this door stop for over a year. It will only blend something that is completely liquid. Never mind smoothies or sauces, etc. I end up blending it myself with a spoon or just dealing with huge chunks. It is also extremely loud. Rating: - good blender but dislike speed and controls
My previous Oster Beehive blender sadly broke down after almost 10 yrs, so I replaced it with this one which seems to closely resemble it. I have used it so far only to make smoothies and they turn out almost as good as before.
The main thing I dislike about this model is the speed. The low speed is stronger than the low of my old blender. It tends to splatter the liquid which ends up coating up the sides and lid (causing some waste, more cleanup and not as thorough blending of ingredients) ... Read More
Rating: - Another new blender
Does no one make a blender that will last over a year anymore? Technically, I should wait a year to write this reveiw. I've had it a few months so far and it's not a bad blender. I've done smoothies, gazpacho and pesto with no issues. I like that the mechanics of the blender are metal and that the pitcher is glass. It's powerful and works well.

I have been looking for a new blender for a long time. I have had bad luck with other blenders burning out or not doing the job I expected. I can say without a doubt that this is the best blender I have every owned. Ice is blended in a matter of seconds. When making smoothies I rarely need to stir the ingredients to get the blender to continue doing its job. This blender was recommended to me by a colleague and I highly recommend it you!

Have used this bender a number of times and it works wonderfully. Lots of power, crushes ice in no time. It is a little loud, but as long as it does it's job that is not a problem for me.
