Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - EXCELLENT CD, One of the best that I own!!!!!!
This is probably one of the best CD's that I have ever owned. Lalah is a very talented artist and this is her best CD's

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great second album
Lalah is one of my favourite soulsingers. She has a warm and smooth voice. Her second album is not as much jazz as her first one. It's more pop and dance...a bit like a Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis production. It's of high quality and songs like "Lean on me" and "Rise" are very catchy.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Moment.
While her 1990 debut was a total surprise to most lovers of comtemporary soul, there was something slightly amiss with the production. The ballads sparkled and were even touching in most cases, but the faster material was subpar at best and kept the album from reaching truly classic status. Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Still one of the best vocalists in my book...
It's hard to imagine how she's been overlooked for so long. I stumbled across her first CD in a bargain bin at a market in London, and was amazed by the depth of her voice. Granted the material was not quite in the 'classic' league, but then songs rarely are.

When this 2nd CD came out I bought it immediately and it didn't stray far from my CD player for months. I believe the final track "So They Say" is one of the most beautiful songs ever committed to CD.

I cannot say enough ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Deep voice, with a soprano soul
This CD was one of my prizes from a local radio station. Before that I never heard of Lalah. Her voice is a true treasure. It's a little low key, but she can harmonize so beautifully. I love every single song on this album. I believe she is in the top three of my favorite female singers. I love this LP, and can't wait until I can purchase it again.
