Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Feminism isn't dead. It just isn't very cool anymore. Enter Full Frontal Feminism, a book that embodies the forward-looking messages that author Jessica Valenti propagates on her popular website, Feministing.com.

Covering a range of topics, including pop culture, health, reproductive rights, violence, education, relationships, and more, Valenti provides young women a primer on why feminism matters.

Valenti knows better than anyone that young women need a smart-ass book that deals with real-life issues in a style they can relate to. No rehashing the same old issues. No belaboring where today's young women have gone wrong. Feminism should be something young women feel comfortable with, something they can own. Full Frontal Feminism is sending out the message to readers — yeah, you're feminists, and that's actually pretty frigging cool.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Primer to Feminism 101
Full Frontal Feminism serves as a good primer for lay audiences or young women who are new to Feminism.

The writing's conversational and catchy, the topics covered diverse, and the resources at the end of the book an excellent springboard for those wishing to learn and read more.

I certainly don't agree with everything the author says (though I'm close on the vast majority of her major points), but that's partly a construct of having been in the Feminist camp for some ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Highly recommended for every young person - male or female!
Jessica Valenti is the rock star feminist of our generation. She makes feminism cool, relevant, and universally acceptable. I am more of an advanced feminist and frequent feministing.com reader, so many of the topics covered by Jessica weren't new to me, but I gave a copy to my friend who just graduated high school as a primer on feminism. Most important, Jessica makes the personal political and imbues her own experiences throughout the broader themes of the book. Her approach is inclusive; she ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - recommend for every 18 yr old
This was a book I should have read four years ago. If you are trying to make your way through the jungle and tangle of relationships and sex without coming out the other side as a prude or too promiscuous, this is a book you should read (because guess what--you're neither.) If you've ever wondered what a feminist looks like, or what one actually believes, or whether they are all angry, this is a book you should read.
If you've ever worried that you were too fat, too stupid, or too ugly, and ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - You may also want to read
If you are looking for the conspiracy theory behind feminism, you may also want to read 'Cruel Hoax' by Henry Makow, PhD.

'Cruel Hoax : Feminism and the new world order' is a wake up call for women who blindly follow feminism and everybody else who think otherwise.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Deluded and Weak
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3PHVVFLI38VW7 I am no friend of radical feminism but this is a particularly weak effort in my opinion.
