Product Description:
It was the job of her dreams…but it became her worst nightmare….

All private security agent Lucie Evans wanted was a fresh start—and the chance to show Sawyer McNamara, her ex-boss, that she no longer craved his absolution for a crime she didn't commit. So when the offer of a trip to South America as the personal bodyguard to a billionaire heiress came up, Lucie jumped at the prospect of leaving the Dundee Agency behind. Then the nightmare began. Kidnapped in a case of mistaken identity, suddenly Lucie's only hope of survival rested with the one man she never wanted to see again.…

Sawyer had spent years convincing himself that all he felt for Lucie was contempt—but with her life at stake, he was forced to face his true feelings. Though it may be a case of too little, too late. Because Lucie's captor wouldn't rest until she was silenced…once and for all.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Last Protectors Novel
Beverly Barton has been writing the "Protectors" for many yrs and all of us have wondered when the three sets of unrequited lovers would get togather. I thought each would have his own book, but as a wonderful gift to her long time readers she has ended the series with a book that ties up all the ends. It is a good read and a great ending to the series.

Sawyer McNamara and Lucie Evans volitile relationship has it's reason buried in the past. They have had many screaming matches during ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Dying For You
Lucie Evans and Sawyer McNamara have a history. A history neither one of them will talk about or discuss with each other. For years Lucie has done her best to try and make Sawyer understand that she is not to blame for past mistakes. Mistakes he holds himself and her responsible for. For the past nine years Lucie has tried to redeem herself by taking any and all jobs he has assigned her; jobs that were the worst of the worst. Not any longer. When her last assignment tries to manhandle her, Lucie ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The wait was worth it
Sawyer and Lucie's story was anticipated by me for a long time and I have to say it did not disappoint. I was dying to read their story from the beginning when the fireworks were clearly evident between these two in the other Dundee Agency books. Not only do you get their love story but you get three for the price of one. The secondary characters were wonderful as well. The only thing I would have improved upon was more of the book being devoted to Sawyer and Lucie and longer love scenes. As stated there ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - fabulous romantic suspense
For almost a decade at Dundee Private Security Lucie Evans and Sawyer McNamara fought like cats and dogs. Anyone who observed the oil water mix would never conclude they were once very close. The gender squabble ends when Lucie leaves the firm to accept the position of a bodyguard to billionaire Cara Bedell.

During an attempt to kidnap Cara, Lucie is abducted instead. A stunned Sawyer bulldozes his way onto the rescue team. They liberate Lucie, but Cara remains a target of a killer. Lucie ... Read More
